Getting to the root of the problem
How Neck Laser Hair Removal Works
Fundamentally, laser hair removal works by damaging the hair follicle so it will stop growing hair. The light from the laser machine pinpoints the hair follicles and damages them without touching the surrounding skin, leading to long-term smoothness.

What Can I Expect at My First Appointment?
When you come in for your first appointment, you’ll probably be surprised by just how quickly it goes by! At LEA Aesthetics & MedSpa Laser, we use the latest technologies, so neck laser hair removal takes just around 5 minutes. However, please note that your first appointment might be a little longer. Your laser technician or registered nurse will take the time to answer your questions and give advice. They’ll also confirm that you’re a good candidate for laser hair removal.
There are some contraindications to keep in mind, so make sure to check them in advance of your appointment. If you’re a little nervous, don’t be afraid to ask as many questions as you need. At LEA Aesthetics & MedSpa Laser, our goal is to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible during the treatment.
If you’re wearing any makeup or lotions, your technician will also give you a face wipe to remove them. To cover your eyes, she’ll give you a pair of protective goggles, as well. Then, you’ll be ready to start! Your service provider will use a skin-safe pencil to draw quadrants over your neck. This allows them to work methodically and ensure they don’t miss a single hair.
Finally, the laser treatment can begin. Each zap of the laser will sting a little bit, a pain that is comparable to waxing or tweezing. Most of our clients tolerate it well enough, but we can always take a break if needed. Once we’ve treated the entire neck area, we’ll give you aloe vera to soothe the skin and sunscreen to protect it from the sun.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?
You will likely need at least 8 sessions to see significant results, although many clients need more sessions for complete and lasting clarity. We usually see around 10%-25% percent reduction in hair growth after each session, which is why it takes multiple treatments to achieve total clarity.
For the laser to effectively destroy the ability of a hair follicle to regenerate, the follicle itself needs to be in an active growth stage. During your treatment, only a percentage of your hairs will be in that stage, and hairs that aren’t won’t be affected as dramatically.
We recommend that our patients come in every 4-6 weeks. This gives the skin enough time to recover and also ensures that many new follicles move into an active growth stage.

Still Have Questions?
At LEA Aesthetics & MedSpa, laser hair removal from the neck costs between $25 and $50 per treatment. Our prices vary based on location.
Neck laser hair removal can lead to some minor skin irritation in the days following treatment. That tends to subside very quickly. In between treatments, some clients experience ingrown hairs around the ten-day mark, as some hair starts growing back. This stops being an issue with repeated treatments.
The precise number of sessions differs from client to client based on a broad range of factors, but 8 sessions is our suggested minimum. Hormonal fluctuations can induce some regrowth so you will likely need the occasional touch-up to maintain your results in the years to come.
